Rezone 2026

LATEST: Following several months of meetings, open houses, and public hearings, the Elwood Town Council adopted the Planning Commission’s formal recommendation to amend the Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map at their October 13, 2026, meeting, with minor changes made by the Council based on their review of the map (see the Meeting Minutes for details).

This action concludes an extensive citywide rezone effort, which brings the town’s zoning into greater conformance with its General Plan, which was adopted in October 2024.
